Sugarbird Glacé Fruit


Glacé fruit is a natural product where the water content in the fruit cells is replaced with natural sugar syrup. This technically advanced method of producing glacé fruit has been perfected over decades to ensure consistent high quality products that guarantee Sugarbirds promise of A Tradition of Quality.

Sugarbirds Glacé Fruit is a traditional South African delicacy which is served as a sweet treat with coffee, or cheese and biscuits as a cocktail snack. In cakes and tarts, glacé fruit is used as both an ingredient and decoration.

Sugarbird glacé fruit is made from choice grade, handpicked fruit acquired from across South Africa to produce the following glacé fruit products:

-Apricots, Cherries, Fig, Melon, Orange, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberry, Kiwi and Ginger.

Sugarbird also takes pride in its other ranges of specialised fruit products i.e. Jams, Bottled Fruits, Fruit Purees and Fruit Snacks for a range of retail, wholesale, industrial and catering clients.
